Do you want to become a certified diver but don’t have much time? The PADI Scuba Diver will be perfect for you.
This course is designed for people who don’t have the time to complete the full Open Water course.
The Scuba Diver is the first level as a certified diver and is a wonderful opportunity to explore the underwater world with the comfort and safety of having an experienced guide with you.

How long does it take?
2 DAYS
This is a 2-day course that is divided into 3 parts:
Knowledge Development: you will begin by completing the PADI eLearning from the comfort of your home without wasting time on classroom presentations during your vacation.
Confined Water Dive: on your first day you will complete 3 confined water dives with your instructor.
Open Water Dive: afterwards, you will get on board one of our boats to do 2 open water dives with your instructor.
This is the first scuba certification level, allowing you to dive under the supervision of a dive professional to a maximum of 12 meters / 40 feet.
Do you want to have more flexibility as a diver and go deeper? You can complete the full PADI Open Water Diver in only 1 more day.

DIVE COMPUTER
Roatan Divers is one of the few dive shops in Roatan that offers their students to use a dive computer during their courses. Use the latest technology to track your depth, dive time, and No Decompression Limits (NDL) for the duration of your course.

about the PADI Scuba Diver

YES! We will dedicate one instructor exclusive to your course and the maximum size of the group is 6 people.

YES! You will use the BCD to help you float at the surface, but it is very important that you feel comfortable in the water. Also, in order to get your certification you will need to complete a 200-meter swim test.

The Scuba Diver certification allows you to dive to a maximum depth of 12 meters / 40 feet under the supervision of a dive professional.
The Open Water certification is the first autonomous scuba certification level, which means that you don’t need the supervision of a dive professional. You will also be able to dive to a max. depth of 18 meters / 60 feet.

Minimum 10 years old
Medical Form: You need to fill out a medical questionnaire. With any “Yes” response you will need a medical clearance to diving. You can acquire this at home or here on the Island at least one day prior to your dive. Ask us for the form!
