Meet your Course Director Fernanda Paiva

Fernanda Paiva brings a rare and powerful combination to the dive industry: deep business expertise and elite dive education leadership. With a degree in Business from the University of Juiz de Fora and an MBA in International Business, she spent a decade leading logistics and operations for a global corporation in São Paulo, Brazil, becoming the youngest professional ever promoted to a leadership position.

In 2011, driven by a desire for greater purpose, Fernanda made the bold decision to change careers. After completing her Open Water Course, she left the corporate world behind and moved to Maceió, Brazil, to pursue professional dive training. By the end of 2012, she was a certified PADI Instructor, and already planning something bigger.

That same year, Fernanda founded Let’s Dive, a dive center that would soon redefine professional diving education in South America. In just seven years, she transformed Let’s Dive into the only PADI Career Development Center (CDC) in South America, setting new standards for quality, professionalism, and success in dive training.

Following her passion for professional training, Fernanda became a PADI IDC Staff Instructor in 2014, and in 2019, she broke new ground again, becoming the only female PADI Course Director in South America at the time. Her PADI IDC quickly gained a reputation for blending high-level business insight with world-class dive education, producing confident, career-ready instructors.

In 2022, Fernanda embraced a new chapter, moving to Roatan to take on the role of General Manager at Roatan Divers, one of the most respected dive operations in the Caribbean. Today, she continues to mentor aspiring dive professionals, blending strategic thinking, operational expertise, and a passion for personal growth to shape successful dive careers.

Fernanda has a Global & Local Experience and has a modern approach with emphasis on neutral buoyancy training and real-world teaching scenarios.

Whether you're looking to become a PADI Instructor, grow as a dive educator, or build a sustainable career in the dive industry, Fernanda Paiva is the leader you want on your side.
