Designated as a Marine Protected Area, our backyard is home to the second largest barrier reef in the world! The diverse marine ecosystem includes both hard and soft corals, endangered sea turtles, eagle rays, sea slugs, sharks, dolphins, and so much more. Dive Sites are easily accessible by boat, with a majority of sites located 5 to 10 minutes away from our Shop on the North West side of the Island.

How long does a PADI Divemaster Course take?

4-6 WEEKS

Your Divemaster Course in Roatan will take 4 to 6 weeks and you can expect to be at the dive shop 6 days per week from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. You also have the option to split this in a couple of trips to Roatan.

Our Divemaster Course includes:

We accept Divemaster Candidates year-round, with the exception of December. However, we maintain small groups to ensure personal attention for every Candidate.

Can’t stay in Roatan for 4–6 weeks straight? No problem! We’re flexible with your schedule. You can split your training into two shorter periods. Once you begin, you’ll have up to 12 months to complete your course.

Job Opportunity

After you complete your PADI Divemaster Course, you’ll put everything in practice during your Divemaster Internship. We differ from other dive shops that put their interns in a “slave labour” type situation.

Here at Roatan Divers, after your complete your training and receive your PADI number, you will be paid every time that that you guide fun divers. Of course, we will be always with you to give you all the support you need, but once we see that you are ready, you will become part of our staff and have the opportunity to learn with #1 Rated Dive Center on Roatan.


Who can do the PADI Divemaster Course?

To start you PADI Divemaster Course you must be:

  • 18 Years or Older (15 Years for Junior Divemaster)

  • Emergency First Aid and CPR Certification within 24 Months

  • Rescue Diver Certified

  • Minimum of 40 Logged Dives
