PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
Widely considered the most fun PADI course, the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course helps you refine your skills as a diver, as well as teach you new skills!
The Advanced Open Water course is an excellent way to increase your confidence in the water, and simultaneously opens a whole new world of dive site options for you.

How long does it take?
2 DAYS
This is a 2-day course that is divided into 2 parts:
Knowledge Development: you will begin by completing the PADI eLearning from the comfort of your home without wasting time with classroom presentations during your vacation. We will send you the PADI E-Learning Material ahead of time.
Open Water: you will get on board one of our boats to do 5 open water dives, two of which are required:
Navigation to strengthen your underwater orientation
Deep to certify you to dive down to 30 meters / 100 feet of depth
The other 3 dives you can choose between Night Dive, Drift, Wreck, Fish ID, Underwater Naturalist, Search and Recovery and Peak Performance Buoyancy.
Add the Nitrox Specialty to your package and extend your bottom time, shorten surface intervals and dive deeper on repetitive dives.

NO! The Advanced Open Water Course was designed to give you more experience as a diver. During the course you will do 5 dives with your instructor, who will teach you new techniques and help you to improve your buoyancy, your confidence underwater and more.
You will improve much more diving with your PADI instructor than just doing fun dives!

Minimum 12 years old for Junior Advanced Open Water (max depth 21 meters / 70 feet) and 15 years old for Advanced Open Water (max. depth 30 meters / 100 feet)
Be an Open Water Diver with any dive organization
Medical Form: You need to fill out a medical questionnaire. With any “Yes” response you will need a medical clearance to diving. You can acquire this at home or here on the Island at least one day prior to your dive. Ask us for the form!
NOTE: there is no minimum number of dives required if you're already a PADI Open Water or Junior Open Water Diver.
