PADI Discover Scuba Diving

Don’t have a dive certification or not sure if diving is for you?!

Come try an introductory day! While this is not a certification course, the Discover Scuba Diving Program is a safe, fun, and easy way to get your first experience in the underwater world.

You will be with one of our PADI instructors, learn how to use scuba gear, and get comfortable by taking your first breaths underwater.

How long does it take?

HALF DAY

This is a half day experience that is divided into 3 parts:

  • Theory: you will begin by watching a video in our classroom and get an introduction into scuba theory, dive equipment and basic skills

  • Confined water: after the briefing with your instructor you will go to Half Moon Bay and learn basic skills in confined water with your instructor

  • Dive: finally, you will get on board one of our boats to do an open water dive and enjoy our precious coral reef under perfect conditions with your instructor

What next? If you fall in love with scuba diving and want to become a certified diver, you can continue your training and become a PADI Open Water Diver in only 2 more days.


What will I learn?

Even though this is not a dive course, during your PADI Discover Scuba Diving you will learn how to:

  • Use scuba gear

  • Use hand signals to communicate

  • Perform basic scuba skills


Who can do it?

Available for ages 10 and up, it is the perfect experience for the whole family!

Scuba diving is an excellent option for couples! You always need a buddy to help you with your gear and share new adventures and experiences.

Frequently Asked Questions
about Discover Scuba Diving

  • YES! We will dedicate one instructor exclusive to this activity. The maximum group size is 4 people.

  • NO! You will use the BCD to help you float at the surface, but it is very important that you feel comfortable in the water.

  • NO! This is just an experience. If you want to have a dive certificate, you need to enroll in the Scuba Diver or the Open Water course

    • Minimum 10 years old

    • Medical Form: You need to fill out a medical questionnaire. With any “Yes” response you will need a medical clearance to dive. You can acquire this at home or here on the Island at least one day prior to your dive. Ask us for the form!
