And just like that, our fourth year as the owners and operators of this magical little dive shop have come to an end.
This season was as busy expanding as ever before. We partnered with Tobri Divers to offer high quality diving facilities from both sides of the island, we introduced Saga to our fleet, we expanded our dock, we added another classroom, we became a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Center, we received TripAdvisor's Certificate of Excellence again and Luxury Travel Guide awarded us Diving Company of the Year for Central & South America.
Some things stayed the same in the best way. For Season 4, we continued with our same stellar team as Season 3, plus a new familiar face (Meet Russ!) Next season, we will continue with the same team, a testament to our work environment in a transient industry. We will also be adding another RD Team member - new boat, Freya, who will be launched at the start of next season.
We continued to see our loyal repeaters from previous seasons back here diving with us. It means so much to us to see so many familiar faces, a rarity in the tourism industry when there are so many options of where to visit. We met wonderful new divers who we know will be back again some day. Each day was new and interesting, with never a dull moment to be had (and we wouldn't have it any other way).
We will re-open our doors on November 4th, but while we are away our fleet will be getting some TLC in dry dock, the deck will get a new coat of paint and we'll be touching things up at the shop here and there. Best of all, the entire Roatan Divers team gets to recharge our batteries so that when Season 5 starts, we are ready to provide the top notch service we pride ourselves on.
On November 9th, we will also be holding a two week long PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) to prepare and train Divemaster candidates to become PADI Instructors. We are excited to be able to offer this new service to divers, so if you or anyone you know might be considering Going Pro with PADI, please send us a note.
Again, a BIG thank you to everyone who joined us this season, who sent friends and family our way and who have continued to support us and cheer us on, year after year. You guys are the best!
