Congratulations to Joe & Kim for completing their Emergency First Response and PADI Rescue Diver certifications with Roatan Divers!
Joe is one of Roatan Divers' star divers, and its been such a pleasure being part of his entire scuba life! He did his Advanced course with us in January and his Open Water with us too before that, too. Joe told us he would be back to do his Rescue course, and sure enough, he was back on Roatan a few months later!
Kim recently came to Roatan to complete her Divemaster course with us and this course was first on the agenda before officially starting her Divemaster training program. To begin with, Joe and Kim completed their Emergency First Response course which teaches you Primary and Secondary care that gives you a lot of the building blocks that you need for the Rescue Diver course.
From there, Joe and Kim began reviewing the theory work for the Rescue course. The next day, it was time to get in the water to being practicing different rescue scenarios. They each did a phenomenal job honing their emergency responses and learning loads of new skills. We had plenty of assistance from our Divemasters in training, Garron and Guillermo, so it made it a very dynamic and involved Rescue course!
Kim and Joe finished things up by going out into open water to put all their new knowledge and skills to the test. They both did such a great job and we're incredibly proud of them. Well done Joe & Kim!
